Exposure: farmer’s market

Saturday mornings in DC are some of my favorites – ever. I get to sleep in, the weather is usually nice, and the farmer’s market is in town. I have it on good authority (my own opinion) that the Mount Pleasant Farmer’s Market is the best. The vendors are a good mix of local weird (see: the tent of fermented items across the way from the duck bao (bun) guy who also sells containers of duck broth for $2), and good old fashioned in-season veggies and fruits and flowers and OH YEAH popsicles. Does your farmer’s market have popsicles? I thought not.

Ryan usually declines my invitation to accompany me to the farmer’s market on Saturday mornings because he is a sloth and thus sleep, so I tend to have the hour to myself to take my time, peruse the little free library on the way, and snap photos to my leisurely heart’s desire. Below are some of my favorite shots from last weekend’s pure BLISS combination of mid 60s (BRISK <3) temperatures and morning golden hour light-delight.

I’m trying hard to decide which photo I love the most, but I love them all. I can see them all in pretty little frames adorning the walls of a local eatery. Just perfection.
